Greengate Trust was established in 2017 to formalise the collaborative partnership between schools that, despite having many differences, share a common ethos and a firm belief that collaboration

not competition make us stronger.

There are two academies in our Trust, Orrell Holgate and Orrell Lamberhead Green. Unlike many established regional and national MATs which, because they were formed when a successful school took the lead in improving struggling school, have high levels of standardisation, Greengate values the individuality of each school and the contribution they can make towards building a collaborative learning partnership.

The Trust seeks to grow by working with other like-minded schools, who are reflective and seek to continually improve
